Our targeted audience for this sequence ranges from teens to adults. We have chosen this age range for our audience because as a group we feel we will be able to relate to the audience and have knowledge on how teenagers think and react to certain situations. This will help us make the opening sequence more effective towards the audience.
The sequence genre is a psychological thriller which consists of crime, murder and suspense. The opening sequence will create suspense in the audiences mind however will not allow the audience to predict upcoming events. The first half of the sequence is shown positively which then contrasts with the dark gloomy image set in the garage.
